Cannabis can be used for medical purposes
Nov 10, 2021
The use of marijuana, for medicinal purposes, is allowed in Malaysia as long as it complies with existing laws.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says the existing laws do not prohibit medical cannabis.
However he says all products containing cannabis must be registered with the Drug Control Authority adding that all importers of the products must also have a license and import permit.
The Health Ministry reported a slight rise in Covid-19 cases yesterday, with 5,403 infections.
The fresh cases are more than the number of Covid-19 patients who recovered which totaled to over 5 thousand.
