Nov 22, 2021

KJ minta UMNO bergerak ke hadapan

A heightened alert system to detect early signs of a surge in Covid-19 infections will be introduced soon.

Some sectors will be tightened when there is a rise in cases, under the system.

However, the health ministry says there will be no total lockdown.

It adds that the country’s healthcare system is still under control, but warns that there are currently signs of an increase in infections.

Penang has urged senior citizens and high-risk groups to take Covid-19 vaccine booster shots.

State officials say those who are refusing to get the booster jabs will make it difficult for the state to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Starting today, the public can walk-in to any private vaccination centres throughout Penang to get their Covid-19 booster shot.
