3 civil servants arrested for allegedly using fake vaccination certs

Three civil servants in Melaka have been arrested for allegedly possessing fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates on MySejahtera.
The three comprise a married couple and their colleague, who is believed to have acted as the middleman to obtain the fake certs.
Police believe the certs were bought to enable them to receive special financial assistance for civil servants.
According to initial investigations, the certs were bought for RM500 a piece.

In Terengganu, 6 remanded over alleged fake vaccination certs
Six people in Terengganu have been remanded for allegedly receiving payment to provide fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates.
Police say the suspects allegedly failed to give the certs to their so-called customers.
They also believe that the case is linked to the earlier arrest of a doctor in Marang, who is suspected of issuing fake certs for up to RM600.

Fake certs, falsifying COVID test results, are unforgivable
The government is satisfied that action has been taken against those believed to be involved in fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates.
However, the Defence Minister says thorough investigations must continue, to tackle the issue immediately.
He says the government will not compromise with those involved in such activities.
He adds that fake certificates, as well as falsifying COVID test results, are unforgivable, as it could lead to a possible spike in cases.
