over 300% increase in education covid-19 clusters

The government has reiterated the importance of following COVID-19 SOPs, even though most adults and teenagers are now vaccinated.

The Health Ministry says this is because of a worrying spike in new clusters, particularly among schools.

It also reminded those showing signs of infection to get themselves tested before heading to school.

This, as the number of education clusters has risen from 15 to over 60, which is an increase of over 300%.

PLUS and Touch n Go told to justify RM35 RFID tag cost

The government is awaiting a report from highway concessionaire PLUS and payments company Touch n Go over the cost of RFID stickers.

The two companies have been ordered to provide the rationale behind charging the stickers at RM35.

The Works Ministry says any decision to lower the price of the stickers will depend on the report and will be evaluated by the relevant agencies.

No flood evacuations in Taman Sri Muda

There have been no reports of residents forced to evacuate to flood relief centres, following heavy rain in Taman Sri Muda, Shah Alam, yesterday.

Selangor authorities blamed clogged drains for stagnant water in several areas there.

Rising water levels began to recede around 5pm.
