Employers in Melaka have been warned not to force their staff who have tested positive for Covid, or are close contacts, to come in to work.

State authorities issued the warning…following complaints that some bosses in the restaurant, supermarket and manufacturing sectors were asking their positive staff to continue working as usual.

The Melaka Health and Anti-Drug Committee chairman said stern action will be taken against errant employers…especially with the rise in workplace-related clusters in the state.
