Those who test positive for COVID-19 have been reminded that they must update their symptoms on MySejahtera every day throughout their quarantine period.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin advised patients to immediately seek assistance if they experience worsening symptoms.

This includes breathing difficulties, prolonged fever, chest pain, and loss of appetite.

People who show signs of infection are also reminded to isolate and test themselves immediately.

The Election Commission has been urged to review the COVID-19 SOPs for the Johor state election campaign period.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin believes that despite having some flexibility, the SOPs were still strict.

The Bersatu President was referring to the SOP in which talks, and campaigns are only allowed at party offices and official operations rooms, with attendance capped at 100, among others.

Daily COVID cases cross 30K for first time

Malaysia reported a record number of daily COVID-19 cases, after new infections crossed the 30,000 mark yesterday.

There were 31,199 cases nationwide, which is up by more than 4,000 infections compared to the previous day.

Meanwhile, 55 more patients succumbed to the coronavirus, 23 of which were classified as brought-in-dead cases.

There were also close to 20,400 recoveries.
