PLUS welcomes Hari Raya toll waiver
Apr 26, 2022
PLUS has welcomed the government’s decision to give highway users a toll payment exemption during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
The highway concessionaire believes many motorists will enjoy the toll waiver, and plan their journeys around the designated dates.
Because of this, it hopes highway users will plan their journeys carefully and to expect longer trips, especially on days when the toll exemption takes effect.
Yesterday, the PM said motorists will enjoy toll free travel on April 30, as well as on May 1, 7, and 8.

Police expect rise in home break-ins during Hari Raya
Those planning to return to their hometowns this Aidilfitri have been advised to take extra precautions before leaving their homes.
KL police say it's because they expect a rise in possible home break-ins this time round.
They noted that there were less break-ins in the past two years, because people stayed at home due to the pandemic.
As such, those returning to their hometowns are advised to ensure their homes are properly locked, and that the premises are well-lit.

Give cash aid immediately to flash flood victims
Residents who were hit by yesterday’s flash flooding in KL should receive at least RM1,000 in cash aid.
Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh says the flood greatly affected those preparing to celebrate Hari Raya Aidlifitri next week.
She also called on authorities to find a solution to the flooding in the capital.
Yesterday, DBKL said several main roads including Jalan Kuching, and Jalan Semantan were hit by the floods, with waters reaching at least knee-level.
