Wearing face mask outdoors to be optional

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says starting May 1st, wearing a face mask outdoors will be optional.
However, Malaysians are highly encouraged to continue wearing a mask as a precaution against the spread of COVID-19
He adds that it is still mandatory to wear a face mask indoors, and in enclosed spaces including public transport.
KJ says, however, people can take their face masks off indoors in certain situations.
This includes while doing exercise, eating, giving a speech, or when alone.

MySejahtera check-ins no longer required to enter premises
MySejahtera check-ins will no longer be mandatory to enter premises from this Sunday.
Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin adds that individuals will be allowed to enter any premises regardless of their vaccination status.
However, those who are infected by COVID-19 or undergoing quarantine are banned from entering premises

Police to launch Ops Lancar for Hari Raya peak traffic days
Police will conduct an operation dubbed Ops Lancar at several hotspots nationwide to ensure smooth traffic during Aidilfitri next week.
The IGP says all PDRM machinery will be mobilised during the operation.
He also urged Malaysians to abide by traffic rules and regulations when on the road.
