Apr 29, 2022

face masks still mandatory in indoor school areas

Starting May 1st, visitors will no longer need to scan their MySejahtera app to enter school premises.

Education Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin adds that wearing a face mask is still mandatory when indoors.

However, there are some exceptions to the ruling, namely when individuals are alone, or when educators are teaching in classrooms...

He adds that student attendance will now be compulsory, as per attendance before the COVID-19 pandemic.

This means parents must provide a letter explaining their child’s absence from school.

Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh has called for a moratorium on all development proposals in her constituency, including the proposed MRT3 project, unless the government immediately finds a way to deal with floods.

She stressed that nearly 10 locations in her constituency were hit by the flash floods in KL recently, while 2 areas were affected by the flooding back in December.

She was commenting on the Federal Territories Minister’s statement, in which the Prime Minister has instructed DBKL to immediately use its available resources to address the recent floods in the capital.
