4 people killed in Penang road accident

Malaysians have been advised not to get involved in illegal racing as not only can it endanger their own lives, but also the lives of other road users.
This, after four motorcyclists were killed and three others were seriously injured following an accident along an expressway in Penang.
Police say three of the victims died at the scene, while the fourth victim, who was a 17-year-old died while receiving treatment at the hospital.
It is believed several motorcyclists in the accident were involved in illegal racing.

Govt to meet today to discuss Indonesia worker freeze
The HR and Home Ministries are set to meet today, to discuss Indonesia’s recent move to temporarily bar its workers from entering Malaysia.
This is after the Prime Minister directed the relevant agencies to resolve the issue soon, as he does not want the matter to affect Malaysia’s ties with Indonesia.
Earlier reports said Indonesia’s decision was due to allegations of a breach in the memorandum of understanding between the two countries.

Sharp drop in daily COVID-19 cases
Malaysia reported a significant drop in daily COVID-19 infections at 3,936 yesterday.
It fell by over 1,000 cases compared to the previous day’s tally.
Meanwhile, 7 more fatalities were recorded, including 3 brought-in-dead cases.
There were also close to 3,900 recoveries.
