E-hailing reps to discuss their grouses with the goverment

Representatives of E and P-hailing associations will meet with the government soon, to discuss some of the issues affecting them.
A sit-down with the Transport Ministry has already been scheduled for next week, while a meeting with the Human Resources Ministry is expected to take place soon.
It comes after delivery riders recently complained about reduced fees…as well as other health, welfare and safety concerns.

PDRM has denied allegations that it was involved in fake social media accounts.
It says it takes the matter seriously and is gathering further information.
The cops’ statement comes following a report by Facebook parent company Meta…alleging that PDRM had been involved in social media accounts that were spreading misleading information.

A combination of heavy rain, landslides, debris flows and mud floods has been blamed for the heavy damage sustained in last month’s flooding in Baling, Kedah.
This is according to a report on the incident by the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry.
It says the matter was made worse by erosion at a nearby secondary forest area.

3,927 new Covid-19 cases were reported nationwide yesterday.
It was a decline of some 380 infections from the previous day’s tally.
There were also six additional fatalities…while the number of recoveries stood at just under five thousand.
