Jacinda Adern has announced her shock resignation as New Zealand Prime Minister.

The 42-year-old says she no longer has the energy to continue in the role.

Sources say her term as PM will end no later than February 7th.

Ardern was first elected in 2017, where she became the world’s youngest female head of government at the age of 37.

She led New Zealand through some of its most challenging events…including the Covid-19 pandemic, the Christchurch mosque shootings and the White Island volcanic eruption.

The Met Department is anticipating a monsoon surge to begin today, which will last until Monday.

It will bring possible continuous rain over Johor, Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu.

Thunderstorms and heavy rain are also forecast for the interior and west of the peninsular, central and western Sarawak and western Sabah.

Proposals for sex education in schools has been brought to the Cabinet for consideration.

The Women, Family and Community Development Minister says that this will require good cooperation between the relevant ministries as well as the community, to be implemented successfully.

Currently, sex education is not taught as a standalone subject, but is incorporated into subjects such as moral and Islamic studies, science, and biology.

There have been no cases of stroke reported, in the clinical studies for Pfizer’s bivalent Covid-19 vaccine.

The Health Director General says this is according to data submitted to the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency.

He also assured that the NPRA will continue to monitor the safety levels of all Covid vaccines used in the country.

The Sabah Cabinet has decided that the Covid-19 entry procedure for international travelers into the state, will be standardized with the Health Ministry’s existing policy for the rest of the country.

The state’s Covid spokesperson says foreign tourists are no longer required to submit a pre-departure Covid test, and no longer need to present vaccination certs when arriving in Sabah.
