Jan 30, 2023

extended peak hours for ampang lrt line

The Ampang-Sri Petaling LRT Line will have extended peak hour services, starting today

Prasarana says its peak hours will now run from 6am to 10.30am in the morning, and 4.30 to 8.30pm daily.

It's to allow commuters to plan their journeys and avoid congestion at stations.

Prasarana also says more intermediate free buses will be added for three routes.

This, to help commuters cope with the service disruption between the Bandaraya and Masjid Jamek stations, due to to a track alignment problem.

Pakatan Harapan will consider the views of its component party leaders, before deciding on whether to accept UMNO's recently-sacked leaders.

PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says it's to preserve cooperation within the unity government.

This, after UMNO announced the sacking of former Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin and Selangor liaison committee chief Tan Sri Noh Omar.

UMNO's supreme council also handed out six-year suspensions for leaders including Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

Also, Datuk Seri Anwar has defended the appointment of his daughter, Nurul Izzah as his special adviser on economics and finance, after it was questioned by some quarters.

He says she is fully qualified, adding that she will not be given any allowances.
