Muhyiddin Arrested

The MACC has arrested former PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. 

The anti-graft commission confirmed that he was detained at 1pm today, around 2 hours after the Bersatu president arrived at the MACC HQ to give a statement, believed to be over the Jana Wibawa issue. 

Muhyiddin will be taken to court tomorrow, where he's expected to face charges including abuse of power and money laundering. 

Earlier, Bersatu Sec Gen Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin urged supporters to remain calm over the issue. 

He says everyone must abide by the law and give the commission space to conduct the probe. 

Also, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has denied that the Jana Wibawa probe was politically motivated.

The prime minister says it's based on documents from the Finance Ministry.
