The Communications and Digital Ministry has rubbished social media claims that contributors who hit 55 are no longer allowed to make lump-sum withdrawals.

Minister Fahmi Fadzil says the claims are false, adding that the EPF themselves have clarified that the move is currently merely being studied.

This comes after the EPF said that it is looking into formalizing a monthly drawdown mechanism for members.

More than 300 million ringgit has been lost over the past two years…due to online scams on Facebook and Instagram.

The Communications and Digital Ministry says in the first half of this year alone…Malaysians lost over 85 million ringgit across the two social media platforms.

The Education Ministry’s vocational college programs have proven to be a success.

Minister Fadlhina Sidek says 90 percent of the graduates have managed to find employment.

She adds that the ministry is also continuously working to ensure that the graduates’ skills are in line with industry demands.

The MACC is considering stationing its officers at KLIA to curb any possible corruption activities at the country’s main entry and exit point.

Police say they will be calling up Lim Guan Eng for questioning soon, after several reports were lodged over his speech that allegedly touched on race, religion or royalty.
