Datuk Seri Sanusi Md Nor has officially been sworn in as the Kedah Menteri Besar for another term.

The ceremony was held at the Istana Anak Bukit in Alor Setar, Kedah this morning.

This follows Sanusi’s victory in the Jeneri state assembly seat in Saturday’s state election.

Perikatan Nasional ended up retaining Kedah in the polls…winning 33 of the 36 seats up for grabs.

In a related development, PDRM says it has arrested 15 individuals and opened 240 investigation papers into various offences in the leadup to the six-state elections.

It says Selangor had the most investigation papers at 78…followed by Penang, Kedah and Terengganu.

The Rukun Negara will now be recited in full at every school and official government event nationwide, to instill loyalty and love for the country.

The National Unity Ministry explains that the pledge will now include the pre-amble…followed by the five principles.

The government is considering making it a license requirement for all childcare centers to have CCTV cameras, to curb cases of kids being abused on the premises.

The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry says this is because some operators continue to ignore current regulations, that require the installation of these cameras.
