There has been an increase in the number of areas with unhealthy air quality levels.

Around a dozen areas in Perak, KL, Putrajaya, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor currently have unhealthy API levels.

According to the Department of Environment, there are no areas in the peninsular with good API readings at the moment.

There has been good response to the Madani Medical Scheme so far, benefiting over a hundred thousand households until September.

The Health Ministry says there’s also been encouraging participation from private clinics…which has helped increase access to healthcare for the needy, and reduce overcrowding at government facilities.

This, as the Prime Minister said that special attention will be given under the upcoming Budget 2024…to resolving the congestion at government hospitals nationwide.

The Deputy Prime Minister has hinted that a Cabinet reshuffle may be happening soon.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says one of the reasons is to fill the post of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister following the passing of Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

The government will hold talks with the Education and Higher Education Ministries…to improve financial literacy among school and university students.

The Agriculture and Food Security Ministry says the local supply of white rice in the market has stabilized…thanks to a stop in panic buying by consumers and traders.
