No Rush To Send Troops To Palestine

Malaysia is waiting for the United Nations to decide on sending a peacekeeping force to Palestine.
The Defense Ministry says as a UN member, the government will wait for the world body’s decision, before assessing whether Malaysian troops will be sent over.
It also assured that any decision to deploy Malaysian soldiers will not be made hastily.

In a related development… the European Union called for a pause to the fighting between Hamas and Israel to allow urgent aid to be brought into Gaza.
This, as UN agencies said supplies are barely trickling in to the Palestinian territory due to a shortage of fuel.

The public is reminded to stay away from at-risk recreational areas like waterfalls during the monsoon season.
The Fire and Rescue Department says its also working closely with the Forestry Department…to monitor and control activities like hiking and camping.
This comes after the Met Department warned of four to six episodes of heavy rainfall from next month until February that has the potential to cause flooding.

Malaysia’s median 5G speed has been ranked the fastest in South East Asia and the third fastest globally.
The Communications and Digital Minister says this is based on the latest speed test results for the third quarter of the year.
