PN Retains Kemaman Seat

Perikatan Nasional has retained the Kemaman parliamentary seat.
This, after Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar of PAS defeated Barisan Nasional’s Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor in yesterday’s by-election.
The Terengganu Menteri Besar won with an increased majority of over 37 thousand votes.
The Election Commission has put the voter turnout at just over 65 percent.

The Education Ministry is prepared for any eventuality if the flood situation worsens.
This includes relocating students, or even rescheduling the SPM exam.
Minister Fadhlina Sidek says they have their set guidelines to follow, to enable the exam to run smoothly.
However, candidates who are unable to make it to their designated exam center due to flooding, need to contact their school or state education department immediately.

This, as the number of flood evacuees in Kelantan rose to just under 2,700.
According to the Social Welfare Department’s portal, there are 14 relief centers opened in Pasir Mas, Bachok, Machang, Kota Bharu and Tanah Merah, as of this morning.

Starting immediately, foreigners who wish to enter Malaysia will need to fill up the Digital Arrival Card three days prior to their arrival.
The Immigration Department says this applies to all travellers, except those transferring through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance…Malaysian permanent residents…and Malaysian Automated Clearance System holders.
