No New Strains of Covid Here

There are no new strains of Covid-19 detected in Malaysia so far despite the spike in cases globally.
The Health Minister explained that the variant circulating here is still the Omicron variant as well as subvariants that have a high rate of transmission, but do not cause severe symptoms.
Dr Zaliha Mustafa adds that the current increase in cases follows the trend seen at the end of every year and assured that the situation remains under control.
