Low Booster Behind Covid Surge?

People should seriously consider taking Covid-19 booster shots.   

According to the Health Ministry's data, only 2.5% have had two booster shots, and a public health expert believes that this low take-up rate could be one of the reasons for the current surge in cases.  

Associate Professor, Dr Malina Osman told Astro Awani, this has resulted in lower antibody levels to help fight off infection.  

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry assures that there are enough supplies of Covid vaccines and boosters.  

It adds that anyone who wants a vaccine or booster shot can just walk in to any govt clinic or hospital.

Police have denied that special treatment was given to a senior cop during his court appearance over the murder of a form 5 pupil in a hit-and-run incident in Ipoh.  

According to Perak police, the security detail accompanying the offer at the court complex was to ensure public order.

And Marvel Studios has reportedly sacked actor Jonathan Majors, after a New York court convicted him for assaulting his then-girlfriend earlier this year.  

Majors had a big role in several Marvel projects, playing Kang in the recent Loki series as well as the latest Ant-Man movie.
