230 Covid Vaccine Centres Nationwide

People who want to take the Covid-19 vaccine can do so at over 230 health clinics nationwide, amid the current surge in cases.  

The Health Minister said this, after the ministry set up vaccination centres at these facilities.  

He says they can either walk-in to these clinics or make an appointment through the MySejahtera app. 

You can also use MySejahtra to find out which health clinics are involved.  

The minister also reiterated that the Covid vaccine is voluntary, but it is highly encouraged, especially for at-risk groups.

A court in Venezuela has agreed to extradite fugitive Malaysian contractor Leonard Francis to the US, where is wanted over a major corruption scandal involving the American Navy.  

He was released from Venezuelan custody, as part of a prisoner exchange that saw America releasing a jailed ally of the Venezuela president.  

Francis, who is nicknamed 'Fat Leonard’ was placed on the FBI's wanted list after escaping from house arrest in San Diego, California last year.  

He fled to Venezuela where he was detained.

The IGP wants cops to do more to restore public trust in the police force, after a senior officer was accused of killing a Form 5 student in a hit-and-run recently.  

He says the police's reputation was severely hurt by the incident, and urged cops to avoid any actions that tarnish the image of the uniform.
