The public is being urged not to share fake news or information, regarding the suspected arson attack on the home of the Beruas Member of Parliament.

The National Unity Ministry says the police should be allowed to do their job to track down the culprits.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet has also condemned the attack, and urged people to avoid any actions that could inflame sentiments.

Separately, the Cabinet has not discussed the royal pardon application by jailed former PM Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Unity government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil says they cannot get ahead of the process, and will leave the matter to the Pardons Board.

It follows reports that the Pardons Board is set to review Datuk Seri Najib’s application during its sitting in the third week of this month.

The Communications Minister says the country’s 5G coverage has now reached over 80 percent of populated areas.

He adds that the government will make an announcement soon, regarding the proposed shift to a dual 5G network model.

The flood situation is worsening, with more than 9,100 victims now forced to evacuate their homes.  

According to the National Disaster Management Agency...there are currently over 7,500 victims in Johor...compared to just over 7 thousand last night.  

Meanwhile, the number of victims in Pahang also increased to over 1, 600.

The MACC has confirmed recording a statement from former PM Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, regarding the alleged misuse of 700 million ringgit in publicity funds under the previous administration.

And, the Yang DiPertuan Agong has officially opened the Merdeka 118 Tower in KL, which is the second-tallest in the world after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
