Control Your Anger!

Jan 19, 2024

control your anger!

Anger management is a beneficial skill that can save people from a world of trouble.

Failing to keep our anger in check can affect relationships, jobs, and lead to legal problems!

Counsellor Dr Azmawaty Mohamad Nor says there are several ways for us to control our anger.

This includes stepping back to take a breath and think of a rational response..

Dr Azmawaty, who is also the deputy dean of UM's education faculty, says we should also try to step away from any environment when our emotions rise, as this can help us calm down.

She said this in response to several recent crime cases caused by uncontrolled anger.

In one incident last week, a mother in Gombak was accused of stabbing her 12-year-old son, because he refused to help with the housework.

Meanwhile last month, a senior police officer was charged with murdering a form 5 pupil during a road rage incident in Ipoh.
