More Allocations To ALL States!

The government will raise the allocations for states to 8.9 billion ringgit this year!
This, after a meeting today with the MBs and Chief Ministers chaired by the Prime Minister.
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim adds that the increase is in line with the usual trend from previous years.
Meanwhile, the government will also increase its contributions to state museums and libraries by 10% for this year.

The Communications Ministry is urging Malaysians to stop the controversy over the recent socks issue involving a local convenience store.
Minister Fahmi Fadzil says the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has already made it clear that everyone should leave the controversy to the authorities to handle.
This, after the local mart chain came under fire for selling socks that touched on religious sensitivities.

The Election Commission has announced that nomination day for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election will be held on April 27th .
Meanwhile, early voting will be held on May 7th while polling day will be on May 11th.
Last month, the seat was vacated following the death of its assemblyman.
