The PM has reiterated, that there are no plans for a second casino in Malaysia.  

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says we don't need to rely on gaming revenue to boost the country's income, with our focus on digital transformation and energy transition sufficient to push our economy forward.

This comes following earlier foreign reports, claiming that there had been talks to build another casino in Johor.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says he's satisfied with the government's preparations for the upcoming dry season.  

The DPM and chairman of the National Disaster Management Agency also warned of potential forest fires, haze and reduced water supply once the hot spell begins. 

This, after Met Malaysia earlier said the Southwest Monsoon is expected to begin on Friday and will last until September...with drier weather expected during his period. 

The Religious Affairs Ministry says it has not received any reports over the alleged incident involving stranded Malaysians in Mecca and Madinah who were scammed by Haj packages. 

As such, it's urging victims to lodge a complaint through official channels for further investigations to be carried out.

There's been yet another fallen tree incident... this time, at a night market in Nilai, where the uprooted tree damaging two stalls there. 

Heavy rain also caused flash floods in the area yesterday. 

The government is looking into introducing a Real Property Development Bill by 2025.  

The Housing and Local Government Ministry says current laws are not comprehensive enough to regulate the constantly evolving property industry.
