Ulu Tiram Incident Was A Lone Wolf Attack

May 23, 2024

ulu tiram incident was a lone wolf attack

The deadly Ulu Tiram police station attack was the work of a lone wolf, and not part of a wider plot.

The Home Minister said this, after authorities found no link to connect the attack, with a separate incident at a Penang police station, as well as the attempted intrusion into Istana Negara and the death threat sent to the Seputeh MP.

Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail adds that investigations into the attacker’s family are still ongoing.

Meanwhile two people who were at the Ulu Tiram station at the time of the attack have been released from custody.

He also urged everybody to give the police space to continue their investigations.

--

This, as Perak police stepped up security at 16 district headquarters and over a hundred police stations state-wide, following the Ulu Tiram attack.

They’ve also increased the number of personnel on duty during night shifts.

Viral CCTV footage claiming to show the acid attack on Selangor FC’s Faisal Halim is authentic.

The Selangor police chief says cops will try to find out who spread the video, as it is vital evidence that shouldn’t have been made public.

He also urged people to stop sharing the footage, for the sake of the ongoing investigation, and to respect the privacy of the footballer and his family.

Faisal suffered serious injuries in the attack, at a shopping mall in Kota Damansara recently.

The Communications Ministry has denied that it introduced new rules that would allow.allow it to monitor Whatsapp calls and text messages.

The unfounded rumour also claimed that it would affect other social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and X.
