The recent rainy weather does NOT mean that we should start taking the risk of heat-related illnesses for granted.  

Public health expert, Datuk Dr Zainal Ariffin Omar says temperatures remain high when it doesn't rain, meaning the risk of complications like heatstroke is still high...  

He advises those doing outdoor activities to seek shade, drink water and rest, if they show symptoms including dizziness, nausea, and tiredness.  

This, after a member of PDRM's General Operations Force died of suspected heatstroke during an outdoor training programme in Perak.

Water supply is being restored in stages, to the areas affected by the scheduled disruption that started yesterday.  

According to Air Selangor, nearly 13% of affected areas already had flowing taps as of 6am this morning.  

It's expected to be fully restored in all areas by noon tomorrow.  

Water supply to Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, KL, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor, due to maintenance works at the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 water treatment plant.

Police are probing a bomb hoax that targeted the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry yesterday.  

The ministry's headquarters in Putrajaya was briefly evacuated, after a suspicious package was delivered to the building.  

Investigations revealed that the parcel only contained a timer and PVC pipes.  

Cops say they have already questioned several individuals, and investigations are ongoing.

Malaysia has urged the US to be firm on Israel, in order to secure an end to the ongoing war in Gaza.  

PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says this is the only way to end the suffering of countless civilians there.  

He also reiterated Malaysia's support for a US, Qatari and Eyptian-backed plan for a ceasefire there.
