zayn rayyan's grandparents released

Zayn Rayyan's grandparents have been released on bail.  

The pair were seen leaving the Petaling Jaya police headquarters this afternoon after they were detained for 24 hours for questioning.  

They were detained yesterday to assist with the investigation. 

Meanwhile, the PJ Sessions Court charged the six-year-old's parents with negligence this morning, with the pair pleading not guilty.  

If convicted, the two could be sentenced to prison for a maximum of up to twenty years and face a fifty thousand ringgit fine.  

Last year, the child with autism was found dead near his home in Damansara Damai after he was reported missing.

Police in Gombak have recorded statements from five more individuals regarding the food poisoning case there that killed two people and hospitalized nearly 100 others. 

Cops say the statements this time came from family members, a pathologist, and a waiter 

This brings the number of people interviewed so far up to thirteen. 

Earlier, the Selangor Health Department revealed that it detected Salmonella in some of the samples related to the case.

And The MACC is warning civil servants that they could lose their jobs if they fail to report bribes that were offered to them.

The commission's chief commissioner says it's considered a criminal offence if they fail to do so. 

This comes in the wake of the Prime Minister's stern reminder that government heads who fail to report cases of corruption in their department will not be promoted.
