5 relatives of the man who attacked the Ulu Tiram police station have been charged in court on terrorism charges.

The attacker's father was hit with four counts, including for inciting terrorism by promoting extremist ideologies.

His wife and three of the attacker’s siblings were also slapped with charges including possession of extremist material.

This, just over a month after the attacker killed two policemen and injured another before he was shot dead.

So far, 13 people have been taken into custody over the unauthorised withdrawal of RM24 million from people's fixed deposit accounts.

According to Bukit Aman, this is after another 5 people were detained recently.

The case came to light after 4 people lodged police reports over suspicious cash withdrawals from a bank in Sabah.
