PM: MAHB Is Still Malaysian

The PM has played down any national security concerns, over the sale of Malaysia Airports Holdings shares to foreign entities.  

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says it’s not an issue as the EPF and Khazanah Nasional retain a 70% stake in the airport operator...  

Meanwhile, the posts of MAHB chairman and CEO will continue to be held by Malaysians.    

The PM was responding to questions on Global Infrastructure Partners’ involvement in the company.

Telecommunications companies have offered to waive call charges to the Health Ministry’s Talian HEAL hotline.  

The ministry says it hopes that free access to the mental health hotline will encourage more people, especially youths, to use its services. 

So far, Talian HEAL has received over 46 thousand calls since it was launched in 2022. 

More than half of the callers have received support and emotional help, while 40% were given specific interventions.  

Meanwhile if you need mental health support, you can contact Talian HEAL at 15-555.

According to the HR Ministry, the government’s progressive wage policy is expected to be fully implemented in October. 

It will happen after an assessment on the progressive wage pilot project is carried out in September.

5 people have been charged in separate courts in KL and Johor for allegedly supporting Daesh.    

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry stressed that extremist ideologies pose a serious threat to national security, and urged anyone with info of such followers to contact the proper authorities.
