The viral bullying case involving schoolgirls in Kerian has been resolved.

A Perak exco member says the school, the victim’s family and the offenders have all reached a mutual understanding…after a meeting arranged by the District Education Office.

As a result, the victim has also agreed to withdraw the police report she lodged earlier this week.

More than 14 thousand cases of online fraud have been reported so far this year.

The deputy minister for Law and Institutional Reform says they involved loses exceeding 580 million ringgit.

He adds that the cases involved telco crimes…online financial crimes…love scams…and e-commerce crimes.

A recent survey has named Malaysia among the top 10 most trusting nations out of 28 countries.

Malaysians showed a significant increase in trust in government…with nearly 70 percent agreeing with this sentiment.

The survey also listed Malaysian’s top concerns…which included slow economic growth, and misinformation.

The Deputy Minister for religious affairs in the PM’s Department says there is no evidence that the Tabung Haji app had been hacked, leading to depositors losing their savings.

He adds that based on investigations, depositors who did experience losses, were victims of scams carried out by third parties.

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry says appeals from various sectors to be considered for diesel subsidies, will be presented to the cabinet for consideration.

This, after tow-truck operators recently asked to be included in the subsidy scheme…saying the diesel price hike has resulted in their operating cost doubling.
