Loke: B License Upgrades From October

B1 and B2 motorcycle licence holders can start applying to upgrade to full B licenses starting in October.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke says there is no minimum age, but instead eligibility will be based on experience.
It will only be available for those who have had a valid license for at least 10 years.
Applicants will also have to undergo a two-hour familiarisation and safety course and pay a fee of RM160.
The programme will allow B1 and B2 license holders to ride motorcycles of any engine capacity including high powered bikes.

Two policemen have pleaded NOT guilty in court, for allegedly extorting RM300 from a Myanmar national in Kajang on Sunday.
If convicted they face a maximum penalty of 10 years jail, and a fine or caning.

The Higher Education Ministry says SPM holders will learn the outcome of their UPUOnline appeals from Tuesday next week until August 15th.
Those with unsuccessful appeals can either apply to private universities or consider TVET.

A two-year-old girl has died, after she reportedly fell from the 16th floor of an apartment building in Johor Bahru.
It's believed that she fell out of a window that did not have a grill installed.

And Johor's Mahkota state assemblyman Datuk Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain has passed away at the age of 63, after being hospitalised due to internal bleeding.
