Serdang Hospital Teen Had Past Psychiatric Treatment

The teenager who was detained for allegedly impersonating a medical officer has a history of mental health issues.
The Selangor police chief says the 14-year-old girl was sent for psychiatric treatment back in March, but did not attend any follow-up sessions.
According to Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, the teen has been referred to the Social Welfare Department for observation, before cops consider the next course of action.
She’s being investigated for trespass, and impersonating a public official, after pretending to be staff at a hospital in Serdang.

Cops have yet to determine the motive for the murder of a 33-year-old teacher from Johor 8 months ago.
However initial police investigations revealed possible business ties between the victim and the primary suspect.
This, as the suspect was remanded for a further seven days to assist investigations.
The victim was reported missing late last year, days before dismembered human remains were discovered in a rubbish bin in Alor Gajah, Melaka.
DNA testing has since confirmed that the body belonged to the victim.

So far this year, there have been at least 7 attempts to use drones to smuggle drugs into prisons.
According to Bukit Aman police, no arrests were made in these cases, which happened in Kedah, Perak, Melaka, Kelantan and Sarawak.
The latest attempt happened last week, at the Tapah prison in Perak.
Earlier reports said that the Prisons Department will install anti-drone technology at its correctional facilities, to prevent more attempts in the future.

Just over 3,400 road accidents happened over the weekend.
This, after 1,500 crashes were reported nationwide yesterday, which is a slight drop compared to the 1,800 crashes on Saturday.
Meanwhile there were 22 accident-related fatalities yesterday, which is more than double the previous day’s figure.
