Floods Worsen In Three States

The flood situation across three states has worsened.

According to the Social Welfare Department's portal, nearly 2,200 evacuees are seeking shelter at relief centers in Kedah.

Over 600 are displaced in Penang while there are just over 10 victims in Perlis.

Meanwhile, Met Malaysia has issued a warning for continuous heavy rain for parts of Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak until tomorrow.

Separately, authorities in Penang have warned the public to be careful around coastal areas in the state due to dangerous weather and high waves.

The government is set to implement over 20 new affordable housing projects through the People’s Housing Program.

The Housing and Local Government Ministry says these projects will help provide over seven thousand units of affordable homes for the B40 group.

In Lebanon, at least nine people have been killed while nearly three thousand others were injured after hundreds of hand-held pagers belonging to Hezbollah members simultaneously exploded.

The group has blamed Israel for the coordinated attack, although the Israeli military has declined to comment.

Hip-Hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has pleaded not guilty to several charges of racketeering, and sex trafficking among others.

He's also been denied bail and will remain in custody until his trial.

The charges follow a string of sexual assault allegations against the artist, with multiple women filing lawsuits against him.
