Eateries Should Stop Selling Cigarettes

Oct 13, 2024

eateries should stop selling cigarettes

The owner of a Klang Valley nasi kandar chain has backed calls for eateries to stop selling cigarettes.

He told FMT, there’s no point in selling them, when smoking is banned at restaurants.

He adds that it could also make it easier to enforce the no-smoking rule, if customers can’t buy their cigarettes at the premises.

He was responding to a call by the Muslim Restaurant Owners Association, which urged all its affiliates to stop selling cigarettes.
