Monsoon Season Starts On Tuesday

Brace yourselves for more wet weather over the next few months.
This is after MetMalaysia said that the Northeast Monsoon is expected to start next week and will last until March 2025.
The first phase of the monsoon will trigger heavy rains in the east coast, Johor amd East Malaysia, in November and December.
Pahang, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak will continue to see wet conditions in January and February.
MetMalaysia also said that hot and dry weather is expected in the northern Peninsular from January to March, which could trigger heatwaves.
However, it won't be as severe as this year’s hot spell, due to the La Nina phenomenon.

Nearly 40 people were killed in road accidents over the past two days, during Deepavali celebrations.
This, as PDRM reported around 3,200 crashes nationwide during the two-day period.
Meanwhile, for the whole of October, there were over 54,000 crashes with 430 accident-related deaths.
PDRM’s figures also revealed that Malaysia reports an average of 1,700 crashes daily, meaning that we see one accident happening every minute!

PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim says the government will NOT compromise on any form of bullying, especially at our educational institutions.
He also urged everyone to reject the bullying culture, saying it's only allowed to happen because we allow it to.
This, following a bullying incident at the National Defence University in which a cadet was allegedly burned by a hot iron.

KTMB says it will stop accepting cash payments for ticket purchases starting January 1st.
It will involve all services in the Klang Valley, as well as its Northern, Southern and East Coast sectors.
