No Water Cuts From Pink River Incident

Air Selangor says so far, there are no water supply disruptions caused by the river pollution along Sungai Kabul near Shah Alam.
It said this, after viral social media posts showed the river turning pink.
Meanwhile, the Selangor water authority says it was likely caused by the discharge of effluents from a nearby factory.
It has already taken the necessary action to prevent further pollution there.

Repair works on roads that were damaged by monsoon floods will begin in stages starting this month.
The Works Ministry says it will focus on states including Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Johor and Pahang.
The ministry earlier said that the repair works were estimated to cost RM100 million.
As for the current flood situation, the Social Welfare Department’s portal said that around 290 people are currently displaced in Johor, Perak, Sarawak and Terengganu.

Sarawak police say a teenager accused of causing a fatal accident that killed 5 people in Kuching will be taken into custody after he receives treatment in hospital.
Earlier reports said the 16-year-old was driving without a license.
