Cops Hunt For Setia Alam Shooter

cops hunt for setia alam shooter

Police have launched a manhunt for a suspect, who fired several shots inside a shopping mall in Setia Alam last night, hitting a cleaner in the leg.

The victim is now in stable condition.

Cops have also identified the suspect – said to be a local man in his 30’s with 11 prior criminal records.

Malaysia is not affected by cases of carbonated drinks containing high levels of chlorate, as seen in several European countries.

The Health Ministry says feedback so far indicates that this is not a global phenomenon…with only Belgium, Luxembourg, the UK and the Netherlands affected.

It adds that there is no red flag on the products here in Malaysia…although it will continue monitoring the situation.

The National Service Training Department says those selected for the new phase of the program are required to attend, although trainees can apply to defer their participation with valid reasons.

This includes submitting a letter from employers, for cases where the participants cannot get time off from work.

The number of flood evacuees in Sarawak and Sabah continues to decline, dropping to under 6,300 across both states overnight.

Sarawak accounts for around 5,300 of the victims.

Meanwhile, the Education Ministry anticipates that the repair bill for flood hit schools in Sabah and Sarawak will be high…since a large number of these facilities were affected, some of which suffered total losses.
