The government is stepping up efforts to raise awareness about internet safety.

As such, it'll implement the Online Safety Campaign Roadshow in over 10 thousand public schools and universities nationwide.

A key focus of the campaign is to ensure that children under 13 are not allowed to have social media accounts, and that parents supervise internet usage.

Separately, amendments to the Communications and Multimedia Act officially came into  effect yesterday.

The amendments aim to create a safer internet space, especially for children.

The MACC has cleared three local celebrities after they were investigated for alleged links to a financial consulting firm implicated in corruption and money laundering.

The commission says that the celebs were only paid as company ambassadors, and were not involved in managing any activities conducted by the firm.

Malaysia’s ranking in the 2024 Corruption Perception Index remains unchanged at 57th place...while we were second in ASEAN behind Singapore.

The Home Minister says investigations are still ongoing into the death of an inmate at the Taiping Prison last month.

February 28th has been set for the sighting of the moon to determine when Muslims in Malaysia will begin fasting for Ramadan.
