New P-Hailing Regulations In The Works

The Transport Ministry is drafting new regulations for p-hailing services to ensure fair practices for both companies and delivery riders. 

The new guidelines will follow amendments to the Road Transport Act, which came into effect in 2023.  

Currently, p-hailing operators set wages without government intervention, with pricing based on dynamic factors such as traffic, weather, distance, and demand.

The MACC has postponed its questioning of Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to Friday due to his poor health.

The former Prime Minister was originally scheduled to be questioned today, as part of investigations into alleged corruption and money laundering

CUEPACS has welcomed the Health Ministry's decision to put a pause on the implementation of the 45-hour work week for nurses.

The civil servants’ union says the move is a good idea, as it will ensure all parties have enough time to give their views on the matter.

The registration for MyDigital ID is expected to pick up in the second quarter of this year.

The Home Ministry says this follows the National Registration Department's move where those who come in for new or replacement MyKads, will be registered for the MyDigital ID as well.

Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy now says he wants to make things right with US President Donald Trump and sign a key mineral deal.

This after the two leaders clashed at the White House last week, with Trump subsequently halting all military aid to the war-torn country.
