The Consumers Association of Penang has reminded Malaysians to avoid food waste during Ramadan.  

This includes excessive food preparation, especially at Ramadan bazaars and buka puasa events.  

The consumer rights group says not only is it a waste of resources, but also contributes to climate change due to the emission of greenhouse gases from rotting food.

KL police have confirmed the death of a Treasury Department official, who was found at his office. 

The city police chief says investigations have found no criminal elements at the scene, and the case has been classified as sudden death. 

The body has since been sent to for a post-mortem, and the public has been advised not to speculate on the case.

Kelantan police have so far, they have not found any elements of negligence in the death of a 19-month-old toddler who was reported missing from his home in Tanah Merah last week.   

The state police chief adds that they have already recorded statements from 5 individuals over the probe, which is still ongoing.

The Finance Ministry says the price of RON97 petrol and diesel will go down by five sen per litre for the coming week.   

RON97 will be at RM3.38 per litre nationwide, while the price of diesel in the Penisular will be RM3.13 per litre.
