Pope Francis Passes Away

Pope Francis has passed away at the age of 88.
This was confirmed by the Vatican, a day after he appeared in St Peter's Square to wish "Happy Easter" to worshippers.
The Pope, who was born in Argentina, was the first Latin American, and the first from the southern hemisphere to be elected pontiff.
Meanwhile, tributes have poured in from world leaders including French president Emmanuel Macron.

The Education Ministry is identifying schools that will implement remote teaching and learning during the upcoming ASEAN summits.
Last week, the Foreign Minister proposed work-from-home and remote learning during the summits, which will take place in May and October.
It was in response to public complaints about road closures during the state visit of Chinese president Xi Jinping.

Also, students of educational institutions that are NOT under the Education Ministry's purview are being encouraged to wear the Jalur Gemilang badge on their uniforms.
This, as students from MOE schools started wearing the badges today, to help promote national pride.

PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has dismissed rumours of a possible Cabinet reshuffle following the recent PKR party polls.
He says he evaluates his ministers based on individual performances rather than party politics.
This, after several high-profile PKR figures lost their positions in the party's elections.

Users of the MyDigital ID app may be given higher discounts for traffic summonses issued by the police.
The Home Ministry says it's considering such an incentive, to help boost the use of the digital ID system.
