New SOP's For Concerts
Apr 22, 2025

There are new SOP’s for organizing concerts, especially those involving electronic music.
The Youth and Sports Minister says this is the result of its strategic partnership with the Home and Health Ministries…to create a safe environment for concertgoers and to curb drug abuse among the youth.
The SOP’s include having medical teams and hydration stations at the venue… imposing tighter security controls…and disseminating information about what action can be taken if an emergency occurs.
This comes following the death of four people after attending a New Year’s Eve concert in Sunway.
