PM: All Jalur Gemilang Incidents Will Be Treated Equally

Apr 24, 2025

pm: all jalur gemilang incidents will be treated equally

There will be no double standards in any investigation involving the Jalur Gemilang.

PM Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim the parties involved will be treated equally, regardless if those involved are local media, international companies or even government agencies.

He also reminded everyone to be vigilant when publishing anything containing national symbols including the Malaysian flag.

This, after the Education Ministry apologised over a mistake in the Jalur Gemilang that was printed on its SPM results analysis.

Police say so far, they have not received any reports on the issue.

It was the latest such incident recently... After a misprint involving two local newspapers.

A Singapore-based baby food company is also under investigation for a similar mistake during an exhibition in KL.

Separately, the PM has congratulated high-scoring SPM students, and urged them to maintain the same level of effort and determination when furthering their studies.

As for those with less fortunate results, the PM urged them to keep working hard and pursue other educational paths, such as TVET.

2024 SPM results were released today, with 14,000 candidates scoring straight As, while 36% of candidates passed all their subjects.

--

Meanwhile, fewer candidates were absent for the 2024 SPM.

Education Director General Datuk Azman Adnan there were only 6,000 no-shows, compared to 8,000 last year.

He attributed it to various initiatives that were implemented in schools to prevent absenteeism.

More than half of the absent candidates said they skipped the exam because of work, while the others had family and health problems.
