The national flag error in the Education Ministry's latest SPM results analysis report should not have happened.  

The Chief Secretary to the Government says civil servants need to be more careful when it comes to distributing any materials, especially those intended for the public.  

As such, he's reminding them to always do their due diligence, including checking the material multiple times before publication.  

This, after the Education Ministry apologized over the issue yesterday and assured that corrections are being made to the recalled printed copies of the report.

The Health Ministry is intensifying enforcement and regulation of vape and e-cigarettes as part of efforts to protect minors from getting hooked on the habit.

It adds that it's also open to reviewing existing laws related to smoking and vaping if necessary.

This, as Terengganu will ban the sale of vape products throughout the state starting August 1st.

The state government also warned that any vape business operators who continue selling after the ban will face stern action, including fines, seizures and court action.

The Selangor government will implement 11 immediate flood mitigation measures in flood-prone areas in the state.  

The measures include shifting utility cables and pipes that obstruct drains and upgrading the water control gate automated system.

The Health Ministry is offering over 57 thousand appointment slots nationwide until the end of August, for senior citizens with co-morbidities to receive free influenza vaccinations.

Bank Negara says Malaysia’s GDP growth forecast for this year may need to be revised downward due to the impact of US tariffs.
