Influenza-Like Illness Cluster In Kedah

The Health Ministry says efforts have already been taken to contain an outbreak of Influenza-like Illness at an educational institution in Kuala Muda, Kedah.
This includes active case detection, isolating symptomatic patients, and environmental investigations.
It comes after a group of students and staff members fell ill after attending a training session at a recreation camp last week.
So far, 28 patients are down with the influenza-like illness…six of whom have tested positive for Influenza A.

The HR Ministry is targeting zero workplace accidents, injuries and fatalities in order to keep employees safe.
It says its previous efforts have already resulted in a 17 percent drop in workplace injuries, and a 40 percent decline in fatalities over the past decade.
