Govt Mulls Housing Above Rail Stations

The government is exploring plans to build housing above rail stations, as part of efforts to ease traffic congestion.
According to the Prime Minister, the proposal is being studied together with the KL City Hall and will require regulatory changes.
Meanwhile, the Transport Ministry fully supports the move, saying it can help reduce our dependency on cars and may even make homes more affordable.

Separately, the Ministry says CCTV footage indicates the death of a Taiwanese national at an LRT station in Puchong this week may have been an accident.
It adds that police are currently investigating the case.

There’s been a sharp increase in the number of poisoning cases linked to vapes containing prohibited substances.
The National Poison Center says there was a significant spike starting in 2022, with over 80% of cases involving Magic Mushroom Vape.
The center adds that most cases involved users aged 15 to 20, indicating a concerning trend of vape usage among the younger generation.
