Lodge complaints with TTPM if not satisfied with TNB bill

Jun 17, 2020

There’s a solution for consumers who’ve experienced an increase in their electricity bill during the movement control order period.

The Consumer Affairs Ministry says if you’re not satisfied you can file your claims at the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia for a fee of only RM5.

Meanwhile, Tenaga Nasional has assured that it is working with the energy and natural resources ministry and Energy Commission to solve the problem of high electricity bills.

Consumers have been discussing and complaining on social media about the high charges.

Health DG: Upward trend in dengue 'alarming'

The country is seeing an upward trend in dengue cases with an average increase of 8% each week

As such, Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah says we should spend 10 minutes to scout around our homes to check and clear potential breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes, for the sake of our health and our loved ones.

As we start to lift restrictions, many are required to return to work but only a few people seem to be looking forward to it.

Former Dean of Psychology Dr Goh Chee Leong shares with us how employers can ease their staff into typical normal working hours...

"I think employers should have some patience. They have to realise some staff may need time to adjust to a regular work schedule."

"A lot of companies are starting first by having half day weeks, where for half the week the staff come in to work
and the other half, they are still working from home. It’s natural for them to take a few weeks to get back to work to hit full pace."

A recent survey by KPMG Malaysia found that nearly 70% of respondents wanted the work-from-home arrangements to continue post-MCO.
