Cinemas, theaters, and live events to resume July 1st

You can start watching movies at the cinema from next month!

The Defence Minister says starting July 1st, cinemas, as well as theatre and live performances can resume operations within enclosed areas.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says up to 250 individuals can enter the premises at one time, but it will depends on the size of the venue.

Swimming pools to reopen July 1st

Recreational swimming activities will be allowed to resume starting July 1st

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says this includes both public pools, as well as those in places like hotels and condos..

He adds that the number of people allowed in the pool at one time, will depend on the size of the pool.

Meanwhile, children's pools can also reopen, but for now kids are not advised to start swimming. 

21 more COVID-19 patients released from hospital 

Another 21 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospital, meaning that over 95% of all patients have now made full recoveries.

The Health Ministry also says that 15 new cases were reported today, raising the total number of infection cases to 8,587.

However, only 289 are active cases.

The death toll remains unchanged at 121.
